Summarizing Our Results
Our clients include hotels, restaurants, and industries in many different areas and climates of Costa Rica. At over 4000 meters, Albergue Crestones in Chirripo is using Bio-Aguas. The Chacon family hotel in San Gerardo de Dota and the Valverde family’s hotel in Monteverde have been treating their water for over 3 years now.
At sea level, hotels and restaurants scattered across the Caribbean such as Costa Rica Expedition’s
Tortuguero Lodge or the Suerre Hotel in Punta Uva apply preventive doses in septic systems in especially difficult and delicate environmental conditions. On the Pacific we work with numerous hotels from Hacienda Baru in Dominical to Hotel Playa Negra in Guanacaste, which we mention because these are two hotels with owners who are particularly committed to making a positive impact on their environment.
Areas which tend to have a very wet rainy season and in the case of Puerto Viejo, Limón and Quepos are frequently inundated, make biological treatment an essential, and practically the only solution to smells and effluent related problems. Each month we add new and more diversified clients to the list. We attribute our growth to the effectiveness of our products in different climates and conditions, and to our service technicians that visit regularly. Our clients include many individual homes and our biggest, the Best Western Irazu in San Jose, has more than 300 rooms. Most of our treatments are made where large volumes of chemicals such as chlorine and potash are used, and nevertheless, they work! We invite you to read the letters below.
To summarize some of what our clients say about the treatments, in the Best Western in Jaco, head maintenance engineer Billy Quesada says “The different operational reports made to the Ministry (of Health) have indicated to me that we are complying with the legal parameters (for effluent) whereas before we did not”. He also mentions that initially the hotel used 15 kilos per month and now are down to 6 kilos, for 130 rooms, 2 restaurants and laundry! His cost, $60 per month.
The Tin Jo Restaurant in San Jose attends an average of 300 people per day and 65,000 per year and its owner, Maria Hon says the treatment “means a significant savings for the restaurant because we don’t have problems with blockages in the grease traps, which before meant time for our personnel and the use of large quantities of hot water and chemicals”.
At Finca Valverde Hotel in Monteverde, Jonathan Valverde said in June of 2002, “we used the biological material supplied by Bio-Soluciones in the septic tanks and grease traps of the restaurant and obtained a very positive result in only 3 days. From that moment on we continue to use it periodically and have not had problems since”.

Through this letter we state that we used the biological material provided by Bio-Soluciones, in the hotel's septic tanks and restaurant grease traps, obtaining a very good result in just three days. Since that moment we have continued using it periodically and have not gone back to having problems.
For this reason we recommend the use of this product (Bio-Aguas), for the treatment of odors and accumulations resulting from sewage and grey waters. We are at your disposal for any future consultations,

Through this letter I attest that the product Bio-Aguas, distributed by Mr. Sandro Anderson, of the company Bio-Soluciones has had excellent results controlling the smell of the septic tanks, as well as their level. Our consumption of the product, initially 15 kilos, has diminished as the problem hs been controlled. Currently we are using 6 kilos as a preventive measure since smells have been totally eliminated. It is also important to point out the knowledge of Mr. Sandro concerning the topic, which generates security and confidence in the buyer.
Our company, consisting of 130 rooms, a restaurant and pool among other things has its own treatment plant which has been benefitted after using the product. The different operational reports to the Ministry indicate to me that we are within the legal parameters which were not met in previous reports.
Sincerely, Engineer Billy Quesada Solano

Tin Jo Restaurant San José, May 9, 2004
With this letter we would like to give our most firm support to the company Bio-Soluciones, which is treating successfully the grease traps and treatment infrastructure of our kitchen's grey waters. The Tin Jo Asian Restaurant, located in San Jose, serves aproximately 65,000 people annually.
The treatment we have been applying with this company has meant a considerable savings for the restaurant because we do not have problems with clogging of the traps and pipes, which before meant time for our personnel and the use of large quantities of hot water and chemical products. The biological treatment has resulted economical and easy to apply. We can add that since we began to use the product at the beginning of the year we no longer notice odors from the grey water system.
We recommend this treatment without reservation for restaurants that want to treat effectively and economically their grease traps. To finish, we affirm that the more establishments that do biological treatments for their residues, we will improve our internal environments where our clients are and make our contribution at the city level when we release our water after having treated it. Any consultations welcome,
Maria Hon Robert Faulstich, Owners
Hotel Suerre Punta Uva, Limón December 15, 2003
The Hotel Suerre Caribbean Beach, located in Punta Uva, Limon, contracted at the beginning of 2003 the company Bio-Soluciones to treat our grease traps and treatment system for our kitchen grease. We can report the elimination of odors in the area of the restaurant and kitchen from the beginning. We are continuing the microbial reinforcements at an interval of every 6 weeks.
The hotel has an important number of yearly visits, with considerable variation according to the season, this is combined with the freatic level of the Caribbean and signifies a considerable challenge for any waste treatment system. The Hotel Suerre has an environmental committment and we consider that the treatment of our grey waters has been successful with the help of Bio-Soluciones.
With this letter we recommend this treatment to others who want to improve the environmental quality of their tourism services.
